Contouring Made Easy! Discover L’Oreal Sculpt Collection

Before I start rambling on about contouring, let me educate you on the history of L’Oreal.

The History Of L’Oreal and Société Française de Teintures Inoffensives pour Cheveux

In 1909, Safe Hair Dye Company In France (now known as the famous L’Oreal) began offering customers a hair colouring treatment called “Auréale” (107 years ago). The founder of this company Eugène Paul Louis Schueller sold his unique creation of “Auréale” to Parisian hairdressers that he formulated and perfected himself, with it being a success, L’Oreal hired 3 chemist to help expand the company’s business with new product developments such as makeup, something that L’Oreal is well known for in this day and age.

Contouring has definitely been a big hit thanks to (queen of contouring) Kim Kardashian, we can all agree that Kim has started “the contour trend”, one blink at Kim’s perfected contoured face is enough to make any girl jealous. Contouring isn’t easy and making a few mistakes, at first, is completely normal, but once you have mastered the correct technique, you’ll soon have those chiselled cheekbones to die for. Just don’t go heavily ‘Kontoured’, that’s never a good look!

Contouring products are popping up like there’s no tomorrow literally with an assortment of powders, liquids and sticks. If you’re a newbie to the world of contouring then recently launched Pro Sculpt Collection from L’Oreal is the best place to start.

It’s all about having that perfect base before contouring. That’s why L’Oreal created Infallible Contouring Sculpt base. Available in two universal shades, this lightweight foundation base provides skin with a beautifully skin-like finish that truly compliments our natural face features prior to contouring. Although this isn’t classed as foundation, I was impressed with the product’s longevity on skin. I applied the product at the crack of dawn and didn’t remove until later that evening, it was pleasantly surprising to see the product was still visibly intact after such a long day, especially working in a hot environment.

SCULPT TO PERFECTION

Contouring made easy (I’m serious!), L’Oreal Infallible Sculpt Contour Palette has officially hit Boots and Superdrug and I have a sneaky feeling they’re going to be big (if not already). Available in two flawless shades (light, medium), there’s a colour match for most skin tones (even for the palest). As you buff and sweep product onto areas you are wanting to define and shadow, it’s creamy sublime texture turns into a light powder finish providing you with a long-lasting hold. L’Oreal also created their very own double-ended sculpting brush to compliment the contouring base, sculpt palettes and blush trios. It’s doubled ended brush applicator allows you to apply the L’Oreal Infallible Sculpt Collection without fear of making a big hot mess thanks to it’s perfected tampered ends.

DON’T FORGET TO BLUSH

A trio of beautifully put together colours that make your heart melt within first sight. Introducing L’Oreal Blush Sculpt trios. Nude up or rose glow those upper cheeks with a trio of contouring blush. Beautifully pigmented for that correct dose of blush, these luscious Blush Sculpt Palettes from L’Oreal respects the already applied contour powder by offering the upper cheeks with a pow of colour. Simply take the sculpted-end of L’Oreals contour brush and lightly apply the blusher using upwards stroking motions on the upper cheeks, we want to be blending outwards to give you naturally highlighted appearance with a sculpted colour finish. L’Oreal knows that everyone is different, that’s why L’Oreal created 3 exceptional blushes to work in synergy with the Infallible Sculpt Collection, choose from a gorgeous rosy pink, the perfect nude or a sublime bronze trio, you really are spoilt for choice.

BROWS ON FLEEK

This world’s gone brow mad! (Some brow work I’ve seen needs erasing). The beautiful Shay Mitchell’s bushy, bold brows are just to die for, although I’m very envy of Zayn Malik mysteriously perfected brows. It’s a good day when our brows on are fleek (as they say), I’ve started a mini brow routine myself, making sure to remove those pesky stray hairs from time to time, keeping my brows neat and tidy. I did get stopped once at London’s King Cross on how bold my brows were that day, the funny thing was I hardly touch my brows then, I’m guessing it was just a lucky day.

BLACK N SCULPT LINER

L’Oreals 1st Spherical Eye Liner! If you’re a regular fan of thick and dramatic liner look then this Black N Sculpt Eye Liner Felt Pen from L’Oreal is right up your street. Thanks to the bold intense finish, all eyes will be on you whilst having a little shake and boogie on the dancefloor. The black ink innovation texture makes lining easy peasy.
