Another cleansing balm has been causing a stir in the skin care industry, but this time from the luxury British brand Elemis! Elemis has recently introduced their first ever cleansing balm, the Elemis Pro-Collegan Cleansing Balm. Carefully selected oils include; Starflower, Elderberry and Optimega Oil nourish, soften and soothe problem areas while the anti-ageing key ingredient ‘padina pavonica’ deeply cleanses the skin, leaving skin looking firmer healthy-looking and radiant.
Unique to other cleansing balms on the market, I found having to use more of the product than expected because of the consistency to other balms I’ve used in the past, this balm has more of slick-feel to it, emulsifies easily. I applied the product onto my skin and massaged the balm in upwards, circular motions, this is a great way to allow the active ingredients to penetrate faster into the skin’s surface enabling the removal of toxins, dirt, trapped oils and bacteria. I then used a warm Elemis Cleansing 100% Cotton Cloth which was included to remove the cleansing balm, I actually prefer this cleansing cloth to my muslin cloths because I believe this cleanses better and the quality is much more durable. On my first use, I was left with naturally glowing baby soft skin.
At first the scent didn’t appeal to me at all, but it definitely has grown on me since using the balm for the first time. It’s hard to describe to the scent, imagine yourself walking into a field full of flowers blossoming on a warm summers-day.
If your a Emma Hardie lover then this might not be your taste. But changing cleansers from time-to-time is always a good thing to do so the next time your out shopping for a new cleanser, why not give this a go!
