Along Came Betty Pores For Thoughts Polish + Pure Pores 15 Minute Detox Mask.

A new beautiful, exciting, 1950’s inspired range has recently hit the selves of Tesco’s. With bright pink and yellow packaging and catchy, witty phrases ‘Along Came Betty’ is the perfect audience for any age women. I was lucky enough to be sent two products from the range which were the Detox Mask and De-Stress Face Scrub.

Starting off! Along Came Betty De-Stress Face Scrub

This surprisingly gentle face scrub is one deliciously, fruity smelling polish containing a few ingredients that will banish those clogged blackheads. Salicylic Acid; this famous ingredient loosens and sheds the outer layer of the skin revealing a healthy looking complexion while tackling current blemishes on the surface. Vitamin C; makes your dullness skin that little bit brighter while improving skins overall texture. Ultra-fine silica beads; gently exfoliates revealing a healthier you.

Once on contact with skin, this silky, heaven like, luxurious-yet-affordable polish smelled  good enough to even eat. I actually left on the product for a good 5-10 minutes as the product also had that perfect ‘2-in-1 scrub and mask’ consistency. After rinsing the product with fresh, clean water skin appeared brighter and had that deep-clean feel.

Overall; I think this is a fantastic product! Perfect for all skin types. What makes it even better is the super low price tag of £3.49 that isn’t going to break your bank balance.

Moving on! Along Came Betty Pure Pores 15 Minutes Detox Mask.

Ever wanted glowing, detoxed skin in 15 Minutes? But on a budget? Have other face masks left you feeling ‘meh’? Well, this newly launched ‘Pure Pores 15 Minutes Detox Mask’ from Along Came Betty is also a big disappointment.

Detoxifying or not?

This budget-friendly mask contains Natural Kaolin; draws out those unwanted toxins from the skin. Cimicifuga Racemosa Root Extract is used to treat acne. Alpine Willow Herb Extract; has a strong anti-inflammatory property that helps regulates sebum production those with combination and oily skin. The scent of the mask is very similar to their face scrub, although the mask has an ever so slightly stronger smell which in-fact isn’t great for the skin.

I smothered this rich, creamy fruity delicious face mask onto my face and took that extra time focusing on problem areas such as open pores, blemishes and discolouration. I did notice a slight stinging sensation and I’m aware that some others have had this problem to, maybe we should raise this issue with the brand? As I removed the product with warm water the stinging sensation quickly went and luckily didn’t cause any skin issues.

I immediately noticed softer, smoother skin. Unfortunately I didn’t notice any improvement with my pain-the-in-ass large open pores and no significant impact on my blemishes ether, so I was pretty disappointed.

A product may smell absolutely divine but highly-perfumed products are not always the best, especially for those with sensitive skin.

This super detox magician mask is not so great with his tricks after all. Sorry Tesco’s. Don’t let one product from the range put you off as Along Came Betty has a wide range of products from bath soaks to an interesting BB cream. Discover here
