Merumaya Skin Brightening Exfoliating Peel™

#beautyhasnoage

If you’re another beauty junkie like myself and probably half the world’s population then you have most likely stumbled across skin care brand Merumaya. A brand I’ve probably heard the endless amount of times on social media by fellow blogging friends that have highly praised the company’s products especially the now well known melting cleansing balm.

THE FOUNDER MALEKA

Having great success working for other luxury skincare company’s, Maleka was partly the reason why brands like Clinique, Origins and Lancôme are as successful at this very moment. Maleka knew how to make a brand successful, so in Spring 2010, Maleka decided to create her very own brand Merumaya. This enabled Makela to fulfil her wildest dreams, to have her own skin care brand. Maleka has been one busy lady! You can read more about the founder here.

HOW THE NAME ‘MERUMAYA’ CAME ABOUT?

As founder Maleka states “By the way, MERUMAYA is a made up name”
Created by taking the very first letters of her father, mother, herself and daughter (ME-RU-MA-YA) It was, in fact, the name Maleka’s father would call his brand.

THE LAUNCH

The creation of Merumaya skincare starting in early Spring 2010, the brand officially launched in October 2012. With the products first available to buy online followed shortly in 6 selected John Lewis stores and John Lewis online in January 2013, Merumaya was beaming with success. Today, Merumaya is widely available in over 20 John Lewis stores. Are you a regular QVC viewer? Then you have most likely seen Maleka on your big screen at home.

MERUMAYA SKIN BRIGHTENING EXFOLIATING PEEL

If your skin is looking a little dull-looking and congested then this dead cell eating, enzymatic peel from Merumaya could become a must have staple item in your bathroom cabinet.

Formulated with rejuvenating Glycolic Acid that instantly gets to work by chomping away at dead skin cells that stop treatment products from working at full potential. Pomegranate enzymes work in synergy with the glycolic acid increasing the overall effectiveness of the product. You can also smell a slight whiff of the pomegranates, making the exfoliating peel a delight to use.

p-REFINYL™ a special lentil extract has the ability to control sebum production whilst helping to reconstruct the appearance of enlarged pores, making them appear smaller. This particular ingredient greatly appeals to me as I’ve been a long term sufferer with enlarged, open pores. I’ll be sure to keep you updated on whether this ingredient to anything positive long term.

MEDIACALM™ helps to soothe and desensitize irritated skin. This own creation ingredient by Merumaya uses neuro-mediators that help to balance and regulate skin’s reactiveness to daily stresses that cause common skin redness and dryness. Neuromediators is also able to train skin on becoming less sensitive. Incredible stuff right!

I guess I could say that this product is pretty revolutionary. With its light nonsticky texture, a signature scent, and active ingredients that cause no downtime. The Merumaya Skin Exfoliating Peel is a product you should think about purchasing.
