Dermalogica. a name that many of you have seen, heard and love. Now husband and wife, Jane and Ray Wurwand created a personalise business plan that allowed them to help continue educating students in their personalised therapy classes. Due to the success of the business plan and ever growing classes, Jane and Ray launched The International Dermal Institute (IDI) in Marina Del Rey
2 YEARS LATER
With the International Dermal Institute (IDI) launch being a huge success, Jane and Ray discussed on creating skin care products that didn’t contain harmful skin irritants that many of us are unknown of using today.
INSPIRED BY STUDENTS
Many of Jane and Rays students pointed out that how little products without skin irritating ingredients were available to buy, especially for Janes daily skin condition of ongoing dermatitis and painful eczema. Jane wanted to use ingredients that nurtured and repaired the skin, not ingredients that had the potential of harming.

In 1986, Dermalogica was born. With the brand’s goal to create personalised skincare products that harness the powers of natural and science in one, and without the use of skin disrupting ingredients like artificial fragrances and unnecessary colours, the brand became a big success across the globe.
CHARCOAL TO THE RESCUE
Like a sponge would with water, Charcoal absorbs all the dirt, grime and pollutants our skin picks up throughout the day, acting like a magnet drawing out harmful substances that can cause skin havoc. With a blend of effective, active ingredients, this bentonite and kaolin based face mask work at the very moment of applying. The use of lactic acid gently exfoliates away dead skin cells allowing the active ingredients to full at their full potential. With a high concentration of sulfur at 5%, antiseptic tea tree oil, toning witch hazel and cleansing sea salt extract, those problematic areas of skin blemishes and blackheads will not become such a worry.

How often can I apply the Dermalogica Charcoal Rescue Masque?
With personal experience, no more than once a week. I can honestly say this brings every skin impurity to the surface. You might have to look spotty for a few days but at least you know your skin is clean from the inside.
