Tropic Smoothing Cleanser And Vitamin Toner: Plant based and bursting with vitamin skin goodness, what isn’t not to like from this natural brand.

Tropic Smoothing Cleanser And Vitamin Toner Review

Now, this is an interesting one! I have seen many ‘hot cloth’ cleansers popping up over the past month and hadn’t realised how many there are! Apart from the favourable Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser which many people rave about, I was interested to try out other hot cloth cleansers on the market, so I came across these two hot beauties; Tropic Smoothing Cleanser and Vitamin Toner!

Now I’m sure many of you have heard of the TV Show ‘The Appreciate’? (Well, if you live in the UK that is!) A contestant on the show (Season 7) an entrepreneur, Susan Ma reached the finals in 2011 and became the first ever contestant not to win the show BUT to still start a business with Lord Alan Sugar (What one lucky lady!) after he brought a 50% share in her company.

Jam-packed with pure plant actives, Tropic Smoothing Cleanser contains; Green Tea, Eucalyptus, Camomile, Rosemary, Cocoa Butter, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Candelilla Wax, Golden Jojoba, Avocado and finally Vitamin E breath (phew!) This succulent-scented cleanser clarifies, nourishes and hydrates leaving you feeling pampered and restful. A gorgeous 100% Organic Green Fibre Bamboo Cloth (unfortunately un-washable but is anti-bacterial!) helps gentle lift-off dead skin cells, dirt and grime while tackling hard removing make-up. It is recommended to cleanse the skin a second time (this time on wet skin) if you do wear make-up! (that counts me in then!).

I applied 2 pumps (3-4 is recommend but 2 was plenty!) into my hand and throughly massaged onto dry skin, I then took the bamboo cloth and ran it under warm-running water, then I removed the excess water from the cloth by wringing it and gentle placing the cloth over my face (this helps to open the pores) and began moving the cloth upwards in circular motions (this gently exfoliates!) while focusing on the congested areas.

The first week my skin was breaking-out (NOOO!), but I was told this was normal due to the ‘detox effect’ the Tropic Smoothing Cleanser had. From the second week my skin stopped breaking-out (HAPPY MR. WHARFF!) and this was when my skin began to look radiant and healthy (without the use of enhancers/make-up)

Now the Tropic Vitamin Toner: I actually prefer this to the Tropic Smoothing Cleanser. Recently, I was helping my other half’s Mum at a car boot stall and luckily I’d brought this along with me. It was very warm and muddy so every so often I would spray this onto my face if I was feeling sticky or hot (yucky!). It did a super job at cooling me down (probably used 1/4 of the bottle that day! Oops!!). This toner (more like a spritzer) contains; Organic Aloe Vera Juice, White Tea (anti-ageing!) Cucumber, Camomile and Vitamin C.  Unlike other toners I’ve used which have contained a large amount of alcohol resulting in redness and break-outs. Whats nice about this is that it contains 0% Alcohol (yippee!). I’ve started taking this with me everywhere I go on my travels! This is the perfect ‘handbag/manbag’ product!

Overall, the Tropic Smoothing Cleanser And Vitamin Toner are impressive products with excellent performance! This is also a great alternative to other ‘hot cloth’ cleansers out there and personally I feel that this does a much better job than the hyped Liz Earle Cleanser, sorry Liz!

The Tropic Smoothing Cleanser is available to buy at www.tropicskincare.com for £15.00 and the toner is priced at £12.00. The cleanser is slightly more priced than the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Cleanser but worth the few extra pennies!

What are your thoughts on hot cloth cleansers?
