Estee Lauder EE Range Review

Estee Lauder EE range promises to even out skin tone by breaking the vicious cycle that may lead to hyper pigmentation + dark spots.

Estee Lauder EE Enlighten Even Skintone Corrective Creme.

Estee Lauder EE Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum.

I feel like I’m back at nursery learning the alphabet all over again with all these BB, CC, DD (now!) EE creams, my brain just wouldn’t cope with anymore alphabet creams (not yet anyway!). Allow me to introduce you to Estee Lauder EE Range.

HOW DID THESE ALPHABET CREAMS BEGIN?

The craze first began with BB (blemish balm) creams over in the Asian market; originally created by
Christine Schrammek, a German dermatologist that wanted a cream to care + protect her patients’ skins from a chemical peel or surgery. Your probably thinking ‘well, we already have creams that help those issues’, well, Estēe Lauder always like to take the next very level of skin care science!

What does THE NEW Estee Lauder EE RANGE ACTUALLY DO?

Scientists at Estee Lauder found out that dark spots, discolouration and other types of hyperpigmentation are exacerbated at night-time from day damage by UVA/UVB RaysEnvironmental stresses and Pollution awakening natural cellular response causing pigmentation.

Good news for us! The clever EL scientists have found a way to break this vicious circle to stop the lead of hyper pigmentation.

This brand new range from Estēe Lauder includes an ingredient called Baicalin that comes from a skullcap; a popular herb used in Chinese medicine. Baicalin protects skin cells from radical damage that may cause un even skin tone + ageing skin. This Chinese herb also promotes natural skin repair leading to improved luminosity + radiance.

*Studies shown, in just 4 weeks, 77% of women saw a significant reduction in the look of dark spots, discolorations, blotchiness and redness from using the Dark Spot Correcting Serum95% said their skin felt softer and smoother—instantly after using the Enlighten Even Skintone Correcting Creme.

THE TEST.

I’ve been using the Estee Lauder EE Range Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum + Enlighten Even Skintone Correcting Creme twice a day, morning and evening for the past month; the consistency of the correcting creme felt somewhat weightless and light but still offered intense hydration + radiance, on the other hand the serum was literally a thinner consistency version of the cream but gave skin very little hydration as if you felt the need to apply more product, luckily I had the correcting creme at hand.

From first application of both products; my skin began to naturally glow after applying the products  as if I didn’t feel the need apply as much concealer in the morning (bonus!), any visible sign of redness were reduced and skin was perfectly moisturised throughout the day (not over moisturised!) from using the correcting creme (woohoo!).

All of the products from the Estee Lauder EE range have this magical scent that contains a base of sandalwood, musk and mosses notes that slowly flows to juicy apple, sweet apricot and a touch delicate white floral.

Two months have past as I continued using both of the products; no further signs of improvement were visible but skin was still holding that true natural radiance from using both products twice a day morning and evening.

Overall; an interesting and fascinating range from Estee Lauder that I’m sure will grab a lot of public attention from its promising studies  and the range’s catchy tagline “TONIGHT. AWAKEN THE TRANSFORMATION.” The only downfall I found was that my skin didn’t get that ‘transformation’ I was expecting, maybe if I was to use the full Estee Lauder EE Range then the end results would probably be a whole different kettle of fish.

I’ve never used any Estee Lauder products but this sounds interesting, particularly the Even Skintone Correcting Creme. Great review! :-)
