Every morning I’ve woken up knowing I’m going to smell the warmth of the sage in this cleansing milk which I just fall in love with over and over again.
I will point out that it recommends using their Gentle Eye and Lip Make-up Remover to remove makeup from eyes and lips which would be more suited as opposed to using lukewarm water. I apply the cleanser over my face and neck area and I personally found that it instantly sinks into the skin, however, the results may vary dependent on the skin type of the user. I then rinse my face and neck area with lukewarm water several times, making sure I’ve removed the cleanser completely – using hot water can shock the skin and could cause damage so bare this in mind!
It does say ‘wipe off with a tissue’ which I couldn’t do as it absorbs into the skin, leaving no traces on the surface for me to wipe off, this could all just depend on the users skin type, the amount you use and how you apply it.
I did a bit of research into Sage because I was interested to know why Sisley had used it. Why? Apart from the astringent and antibacterial properties, there are also claims that it can reduce/stop the skin from sweating, which to me is pretty clever. I have in fact noticed a reduction of oil on my skin throughout the day, especially on the T-Zone. Sage is also known to help the inflammation of the skin, once again I’ve noticed less redness on my face from where I’ve had a recent breakout.
Having tried this cleanser once before, I didn’t get on with it the first time. This could be all down to not giving the cleanser enough time to work properly, but I decided to give it another go and I’m so pleased I did! My skin not only feels softer but looks radiant and hydrated. I did suffer from a slight breakout from the beginning but this soon settled. Another thing I’ve seen improve is the size of my pores, they have become slightly smaller, this could be due to the fact I’ve started splashing my face after cleansing with lukewarm water? Is the water what’s making my pores smaller or the sage extract in the cleanser?

Disclosure: I brought this product out of my hard-earned cash
I really want to try this now. If it wasn’t so expensive I definitely would. For me, £60 is quite a lot to spend on a cleanser. Sisley products are lovely though!x
