Concealers can be buggers sometimes, they either work or don’t. Luckily the majority of concealers I have purchased in the past have all worked well with my skin type. Recently I came across a delightful brand AEOS from Lincolnshire like myself (If you haven’t read my recent AEOS review then click here).
I’ve never tried organic make-up before so I was very interested, I have read negative reviews on organic make-up as they don’t seem to perform as well as normal ‘high street’ concealers. My current concealer wasn’t quite the correct shade for me in this season so I decided to give this a shot!
Firstly, I do have to point out that the packaging isn’t all great, the screw top lid doesn’t do it justice as your just wasting the product without any control from the packaging, a far better alternative would be to a nozzle-design then you would have that much needed control.
The product itself is quite thick but the feel of the product is almost light once applied and blended into skin. Key ingredients include; Beeswax, Softening Shea Butter, Organic Spelt Oil, Grape seed Oil. My lifetime friend Willow Bark Extract reduces the appearance of those pesky blemishes while providing an anti-inflammatory effect.
All you need is a tiny pea-size amount to cover a large area. You will notice the product will begin to quickly dry on the skin but not to fear as the product allows you to have some time to apply and blend, phew! A famous tip is NOT to apply any kind of make-up on dry, flaky areas, this will only make the area more noticeable.
Reality; A long-lasting concealer that provides surprisingly great coverage that actually works minus the nasties. Good work AEOS!
AEOS do a wide range of make-up products so it’s worth having a good look at on their website
