Clearista Retexturizing Gel Review

Exfoliation: the important step.

We all like to use our favourite exfoliator 2-3 times a week, exfoliation is probably the most important step when considering upping your game in skin care. The outer layer of the skin is called ‘Stratum corneum’, this is where those dead skin cells lie, for our skin to maintain its vitality and health, those dead skin cells need to be removed in order for the skin to continue with its daily chores.

The Skin Cycle.

Most of us know that our skin renews itself every 28 days by shedding unnecessary dead skin cells. It’s vital that this complex process isn’t disturbed by overly harsh exfoliators as this may cause an imbalance skin barrier function causing skin havoc such as blemishes and skin irritation.

CLEARISTA by Skincentials is truly unique to its own, it’s what I call ‘the difference maker‘. The retexturizing gel uses advanced biotechnology, targeting common skin concerns at the surface with true lasting results you can only normally achieve at the doctor’s office, that’s one reason why Clearista is different, no wonder users call it “microdermabrasion in a bottle!“. Clearista is one of those brands that catches attention, with the simplicity of its packaging and no jargon approach, Clearista is definitely a product to consider trying.

The product doesn’t use any type of acid ingredient, unlike regular exfoliating products on the market, Clearista uses a combination of thickeners, soluble agents and detergents to deliver a resurfacing action  addressing common skin issues like blemishes, flakiness and un-even skin tone.

The key ingredients to creating the Clearista Retexturizing Gel.

Firstly, Water; probably not the most exciting ingredient but it’s a vital element our body needs all the time to function at its best, you soon know when skin is feeling a little dehydrated as it starts to show on the skin. Clearista uses water as a vital hydration component in its core range.

What is skin pH?

It’s important to keep our skin pH balance to maintain healthy, glowing skin.

A vital ingredient that is in every single cell of our body that helps to regulate the heart is Potassium Chloride. Potassium Chloride is a alkaline so it naturally has a pH level of around 8, our skin is slightly lower of about 5.5. So having an alkaline ingredient at a level of 8 helps to balance out our pH level, avoiding any dangers of skin infections such as blemishes and eczema.

The key ingredients to healthy, clear skin.

Polysorbate 20 offers a soothing effect on the skin whilst weakening keratin bonds — the structural material that makes up the outer layer of skin. Capryl Sultaine helps to breakdown skin membranes. I guess it would be lying if I said this was the greatest best exfoliator I’ve used to date, but, the Clearista Retexturizing Gel is definitely different from other exfoliators, from experiencing the product myself it certainly has that ‘proper exfoliating feel‘ because of the non-scented, fine texture. With the use of biodegradable Ecobeads, skin feels deeply cleanse without the side effects of skin sensitivity or irritation, making it ideal for daily use.

You might find the product a little tricky to remove fully because of the Ecobeads; they do like to attach themselves to your skin if not probably removed. Personally, I would recommend using the product in a shower or bathtub, that way, every last trace of the product is fully removed. Clearista also recommend applying the gel as a weekly mask treat by simply applying a generous amount over the skin. The results are pretty magnificent.
